Liz, Gareth and Little Oliver’s Family Portrait Shoot…

During our stay in Australia last year, we made many great friends, as did our daughter, Lana. She made a particularly good little friend (she calls him her boyfriend!) at her day care, called Oliver. They really did become best friends and she still asks for him all the time…

Oliver and Lana became such good friends that it rubbed off on the parents! As fate would have it, Liz, Gareth and Oliver flew back to their home town THE SAME DAY we flew back to the UK. Only a few hours apart… they are now in Brisbane, so Lana and Oliver occasionally chat via Skype and emails!

Before we all moved to opposite ends of the world, Liz and Gareth asked me to do a family shoot of the three of them, which I was delighted to do…

I did the shoot in Kings Park, and as usual for Perth, the weather was spectacular, which always helps with photos. The four of us walked around, played, ran, jumped, swung, giggled and had a great laugh.  Oliver was a little star and enjoyed posing for the camera.

I knew we’d would still see these guys a few times before we actually left the country, but somehow this felt like our goodbye. It great fun but also a slightly sad feeling, as I knew we wouldn’t be repeating it any time soon.

Liz, Gareth and Oliver – we miss you guys! But we hope you are having loads of fun in Brisbane and enjoying your new life! Hopefully we can visit you soon (or you visit us?).
