Dusk Perth Bridal Fair 2014
A couple of weeks ago I exhibited at Perth Bridal Fair, in the Perth Exhibition Centre. I have done a few small wedding fairs in the UK before moving to Perth, but never any BIG ones. This was my first experience of a fair in Perth, and I am pleased to say it was by far the best fair I have ever exhibited at, in terms of attendance, (thousands of brides-to-be!), and organization. It really was impressive….
Anybody who purchased a ticket to enter the show was entered into a prize draw to win a brand new Suzuki Alto! Not bad eh? I was tempted to buy a ticket myself just for that!
I found the other exhibitors to be a really friendly and helpful bunch and the visitors were equally awesome. I met lots of really lovely people. I got chatting with the owners of Simply Scrumptious Events, Daniel & Lara. It turnes out that Daniel is from Leamington Spa in the UK, just like me! Small world! That earn’t me a free cupcake.. wow they were good!
The organizer of the fair, Kym Oates, asked me if I would be willing to take some time away from my stall and capture some images of the show and the other exhibitors. I accepted her request with pleasure. I thought it was a great opportunity to have a walk around and meet some other exhibitors and take some lovely images!
The fashion parades featured lots of bridal wear, as you might imagine, but they also had some local firemen modelling groom’s wear. This appeared to keep the ladies happy! (What is it with firemen that drives the ladies crazy?!)
Time will tell how many enquiries roll in as a result of the fair over the next 6 months, (that’s how it has happened for me in the past) but I am over the moon with the 7 confirmed bookings from the show I have had already… Such a fast rate of bookings is a record for me, I could not be happier. 🙂
